True Robotics Playground is a free, web-based block coding platform for elementary and middle school robotics classrooms, made by True Robotics, Inc. of Worcester, Massachusetts. Students drag and drop coding blocks to learn programming fundamentals such as sequencing commands, responding to sensor inputs, and building loops.
There are no student logins or accounts to manage. The Playground runs entirely in the web browser on Windows, Mac, iPad, Chromebook, and Android tablet computers.
The Playground programs True Robotics robot kits, including Axle (grades 6 to 8), Pilot (grades 3 to 5), and FlexForge, over Bluetooth or USB. It also offers a simplified Starter Blocks mode for beginner coders and a built-in Simulation robot for coding without hardware. Every block is documented in the True Robotics Playground Wiki. This app requires JavaScript to run. Learn more about True Robotics robot kits and classroom curriculum at www.truerobotics.org.
